The Habits Series is proud to be a collaborative partner with two leading platforms for interactive content:

MusicFirst Classroom is the only comprehensive learning management system (LMS) for K-12 music education. It combines learning management software with engaging content and powerful integrated software to help educators monitor student progress, make lesson plans, and create assignments.

SmartMusic is a web-based suite of music education tools and home to the largest interactive and digital music libraries.

MusicFirst contains video-in-video technology and both platforms provide immediate feedback to students. Both also have backend gradebooks that are compatible with most all grading platforms.

Also note that there are free resources on HabitsUniversal.com under the “Resources” tab. Here is how it works:

On the inside front cover of each student book and the Conductor’s Edition, there is an access code. The access code does three things:

1. It gives students free access to all of the coach’s videos for each exercise in the book as well as the start-up clinic videos for each instrument.
2. It gives students a free digital version of the book to use on any device.
3. It allows the band director to have access to the coach’s exercise videos and start-up clinic videos for all instruments.

The accompaniment tracks and all of the additional resources for Habits of a Successful Beginner Band Musician (start-up clinic videos, supplemental rhythm charts, supplemental solfege, supplemental long tones, etc.) can be found at www.habitsuniversal.com under the “Resources” tab and it is all free.
